As we end our year as your Social Co-Chairs, Monica and Karen want to express their gratitude for those of you who attended any of our Socials this year. We also want to thank those who sent ideas for events. Please keep those ideas coming. If there are events you would like to see in the future, please email Karen G.
A list of possible activities is kept and we will draw from that list to set next year’s Social Activities.
Here’s a recap of this year’s Social Events:
• September, 2023: We met in Ferndale and attended Ferndale’s Funky Art Fair then met for dinner at Granite City in Troy.
• October, 2023: We gathered during lunchtime at Yates Cider Mill for cider and donuts then strolled around their beautiful grounds.
• November, 2023: Darcel Connors graciously opened her home for us to make mesh wreaths.
• January, 2024: We learned how to create beautiful Succulent Dish Gardens at Telly’s Greenhouse.
• February, 2024: We hosted a guest event at Gumbo’s in Mt. Clemons, where we enjoyed great jazz music, Cajun food, and dancing.
• March, 2024: We shopped in the Historic City of Holly then had lunch at the Holly Cafe.
• April, 2024: We supported our own, Denise Matthews, by attending the musical, Jukebox Jam.
• May, 2024: We met at Eastern Market for a day of shopping post-Flower Day and ended with a lovely lunch at Viviano’s.
